I wanted to read more on XA. It is a fascinating camera, and so is your website. I love the way you write, and provide information and your thoughts. Very useful and very interesting. The design also reminds me of the sites and blogs of 2000s. So I come here again and again for a nostalgic reason too. Glad that this site still exists. |

I found this site at least a decade ago when researching the XA, and I am so glad that I did. I am just as glad that it is still here! I love my XA, and it is all because of this site! |

The XA1 is underrated. I started with an XA2 which was a great travel camera in Afruca and super for candid shots because of how it resets the focus when you close the lid. My XA3 was a replacement I inherited after my XA2 electrics finally packed in. Same as XA2 basically though I tape over the DX code on films so I can override the ISO. I bought the XA and XA1 at similar times. The XA was on my wishlist and the XA1 was a bargain. The truth: for me the XA gives a level if control I appreciate in an SLR but do I need it for a compact rangefinder? Whereas the XA1 is a blast. No battery, shivers in a 400 speed, and away you go.No jitters about whether the shutter button will work or not, and great to just have in your pocket. Thanks for the website! |

Love the website and all of the information. Totally agree about Fuji color film. I disagree with Ilford being the only BW film. Kodak TMAX or Tri-X are both great films. I almost exclusively shoot TMAX. I\'ve processed hundreds of rolls (myself) and believe that the grain is finer in TMAX with greater range. I like Ilford, but if given a choice it\'s TMAX. Arista Pro 50 is cool stuff, too but I usually use that in the OM-2SP. I recently bought a roll of Kentmere to try. |

I bought my first XA in 1989. I collect Maitani designed cameras and use them lots. I have always liked the photographs I can get with an XA. I think the XA2 lens has a better balance of qualities. I currently have Ektachrome 100 in one XA and Fuji Superia 400 in my XA2. |
